Reported Race-Related Attack Investigated By Norwich Police
The incident allegedly occurred Sunday night.

NORWICH, CT — Five people are facing misdemeanor charges in Norwich in connection with an alleged race-related verbal attack on a 37-year-old Norwich woman and her toddler, reports Fox 61.
The incident occurred Sunday night after the victim, Thaniyyah Hutchinson, who spoke exclusively with the television station, called police to report an assault she saw as she was driving home with the toddler in the car.
The group of five - Norwich residents Brenda Mejia, 57; Lindsey Wysoczynski, 25; Julie Wysoczynski, 35; Derek Dixon, 26; and a 15-year-old juvenile - were first seen allegedly beating a man, but then turned their attention to Hutchinson.

They allegedly yelled vulgarities and racial slurs at her, and the 15-year-old allegedly smashed one of the windows in her car. The case remains under investigation.
