Skateboarder Trapped Under Amazon Truck In Norwich Accident

NORWICH, CT — A skateboarder was trapped under an Amazon truck in Norwich on Tuesday, according to fire officials.

Police, firefighters and paramedics responded to the call at 5 p.m. at the intersection of Fourth and Page streets. Dispatch told emergency responders that a child was trapped under a van.

Firefighters immediately began patient care and stabilization. They then used an e-draulic tool to lift the van off the child minutes later.

The child was then taken to a local hospital's emergency department, according to a fire official. As of Tuesday, the child's condition was stable.
