Thieves used a pickup truck and hand tools to damage an ATM and steal a large sum, according to police.
NORWICH, CT — Thieves used a pickup truck and hand tools to damage an ATM and steal a large sum, according to police.
Police responded Sunday at 8:50 a.m. to Eastern Savings Bank at 666 West Main St. for reported damage to a drive-thru ATM.
Officers arrived and found the ATM had been heavily damaged and a large sum of currency had been stolen.

An investigation found that multiple people worked together using a pickup truck and hand tools to pry open the machine and steal its contents.
Police said no other information is available at this time.
