Three Rivers College Foundation Awards Record Number of Scholarships

NORWICH, CT ̶ Proud families of Three Rivers Community College students packed the room on Wednesday, May 3, when the Three Rivers College Foundation (TRCF) held the annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony.

Generous contributions led to a record-breaking number of scholarships, which were awarded to 206 students. The total sponsorships awarded came to just over $400,000, which is a 23% increase over last year, according to a release. (To sign up for Norwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

This includes $51,000 awarded in a pilot initiative of summer scholarships, which have never been granted before. Many students have exhausted their financial aid and cannot afford summer courses, so the summer scholarships helps expedite their path to graduation.
