Three Rivers Community College Director of ConnCAS to be Honored at 100 Women of Color Gala & Awards

Three Rivers Community College Director of ConnCAS Dr. Jacqueline Phillips is set to be honored at The 100 Women of Color Gala & Awards.

NORWICH, CT – Three Rivers Community College is excited to announce that Dr. Jacqueline Phillips will be honored at The 100 Women of Color Gala & Awards in Hartford, Connecticut on March 24.

The 100 Women of Color Gala & Awards celebrates the power of family, friends and the community as the event honors the past, present and the future, according to a release.

This gala recognizes the contributions that women in business, education, entrepreneurship, entertainment and service have made to their communities throughout Connecticut and in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Phillips has worked in the field of higher education for the past 16 years. She is currently the director of the ConnCAS program at Three Rivers, which supports first generation minority college students as they navigate the college experience, assisting them in reaching their academic goals.

She also oversees the Welcome Center and Testing Center. As a higher education administrator and adjunct faculty member (at Central Connecticut State University and Post University), she has been a strong and effective advocate for her students.

Dr. Mary Ellen Jukoski, President of Three Rivers Community College, commended Phillips saying, “We at Three Rivers are proud to have Jacqueline as a part of our community, and warmly congratulate her on this recognition of her leadership.”

In addition to Phillips’ work in higher education, she is also the founder and owner of Life Changers Consulting LLC, a company that provides life empowerment services and educational consulting. She has also written a book to help individuals discover their purpose, The Purpose Factor, and was a contributing author to Stand Up to be Heard, Vol.II.

Phillips will be recognized for her contributions at The 100 Women of Color Gala & Awards on Friday, March 24, at The Bushnell, in downtown Hartford. The VIP reception begins at 7 p.m., and the award ceremony will start at 8 p.m. with networking to follow the gala.
