4 People Charged On Mother's Day At Orange Restaurant: Police

A physical altercation broke out and a small child was knocked over, police said.

ORANGE, CT — Two Milford residents and two East Haven residents were arrested on Mother's Day while eating at Outback Steakhouse in Orange, police said. A physical altercation broke out in the restaurant and a small child was knocked down, police said.

Police said they responded to the 132 Marsh Hill Road eatery on Mother's Day. Officers learned that two different parties were eating in the restaurant and were seated in neighboring booths, police said.

An argument ensued in regards to a child in the Miguel A. Gallardo, 51, of Milford, party kicking the seats of the Domingo Rodriguez Vazquez, 34, of East Haven party, police said. The argument turned physical, with people from each party hitting one another, police said.

During the incident, a small child was knocked down, and officers were called to restore order, police said. Miguel Gallardo and Vazquez were ultimately taken into custody and charged with breach of peace and risk of injury to a minor. Idalba M. Gallardo, 45, of Milford and Jennifer Cruz, 31, of East Haven were given court summonses for their actions and charged with breach of peace.
