7 Drug-Related Arrests Made Inside Of Amity High School: Report
School administrators say they take the issue of drugs very seriously and respond swiftly.

BETHANY/ORANGE/WOODBRIDGE, CT — Since the beginning of the current school year, Woodbridge Police have made seven drug-related arrests at Amity High School, WTNH News 8 reports. Additionally, five drug-related citations have been administered to students.
An Amity parent told WTNH News 8's Mario Boone that she is concerned about rampant drug abuse at the High School. She contends that the drugs are found and used at the school.
New Superintendent of Schools Jennifer Byars told News 8 that administrators take the concerns very seriously and Amity has a dedicated drug counselor and the school curriculum features anti-drug education.
