Alert Bank Employees Stop Fraud In Progress: Orange PD
The accused was initially held in lieu of bond, police said.

ORANGE, CT — Alert bank employees stopped a fraud in progress, Orange police said. Police responded to Chase Bank at 262 Boston Post Road on Jan. 6 at 11:23 a.m. Employees believed that Deshana O'Neal, 52, of Brooklyn, NY was attempting to access someone else's account, police said.
Officers learned that she had photo identification and credit cards in someone else's name, but with her photo attached, police said. She had requested a withdrawal from the bank until alert employees realized that the transaction was fraudulent, and police were contacted, police said.
She was taken into custody and charged with third-degree identity theft, second-degree forgery, third-degree forgery, criminal impersonation, and attempted larceny. She was held in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
