Amity Boys Swimming and Diving Honors 12 Seniors; Sinks Notre Dame 100 to 83
Amity finishes season 10-1.
On Tuesday night, at the Orange Town Pool, Amity Boys Swimming and Diving celebrated the accomplishments of twelve team members.
Coach Todd Rainey introduced the following seniors and their parents to a packed Valentine's Day crowd of family, friends and swim team supporters: Marc Cerami, Michael Cerami, Eric Holden, Eric Jiang, Jonah LeMere, Kyle LeMere, Antonio Malangone, Shea Middleton, David Powers, Robert Rosner, Robert Schwartz, and Zelun Wang.
After the senior ceremony, Amity shifted their focus towards visiting SCC rival Notre Dame. The meet started with the 200 Medley Relay team of Dylan Swanepoel, Holden, Charlie Pite and Kyle LeMere tying Notre Dame for first place, while Amity's Rosner, Powers, Schwartz and Anthony Magliocco took third.

A.J. Pite picked up a win in the 200 Free, with Jiang and Sam Guerra looking strong for fourth and fifth place, respectively. Amity racked up 13 quick points in the 200 IM, as Holden, Swanepoel, and Brian Liang swept the race. After Kyle LeMere, Jacob Laser and Jamie Huang took third thru fifth in the 50 Free, Wang performed strong to take first in diving.
Then Swanepoel, Charlie Pite and Powers scored valuable points in the 100 Fly, as did Laser, Jiang and Huang in the 100 Free. In the 500 Free, Liang and Guerra went one and two, and Arlo Itzler finished fourth to add to the points total.

In the turning point of the meet, Amity's 200 Free relay teams took both first and second place giving Amity 12 more points. (A.J. Pite, Kyle LeMere, Jiang and Middleton took first place, and Laser, Huang, Guerra, and Charlie Pite were second.)
As the meet wrapped up, Amity's Rosner, Matthew Cucurello and Malangone finished third thru fifth in the 100 Backstroke, and in a dominating performance, Holden, A.J. Pite, and Kyle LeMere swept the 100 Breaststroke. Amity then swam exhibition in the 400 Free relay, and ended up with a 100 to 83 win.
Amity finished the season 10-1, with their only loss to perennial powerhouse Fairfield Prep. Next up are SCC Championships (Diving February 28, Swimming February 29), where Amity looks to continue their very successful season.
