Amity Budget Referendum Today: Information You Need

The Amity budget referendum will take place today, Tuesday, May 8, at the High Plains Community Center (for Orange voters) and all taxpayers are encouraged to participate any time between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.

"The total budget request of $43,613,162 is an increase of $204,541, or 0.47 percent above the current $43,408,621 budget," according to the District 5 website. "The increase in the budget is due primarily to an increase of $802,815 in special education transportation and tuition. All other accounts are decreased
by a total of $598,274."
