Amity Girls Track and Field Dominates Tuesday's Competition

The girls matched their male counterparts with two wins in track and field events this week.

The Amity Girls' Track and Field Team matched the boys with two wins at Jonathan Law High School on Tuesday afternoon.

Amity outdid host Law 110-40 and smacked Hand 91-59

Rebecca Race, Maggie Jordan, Allie Coc and Claire Pite completed the 4x800 relay in 10:41.9

Amity's Cynthia Greenberg, Alexa Eldracher, LeeAnne Beedle and Rebecca Race completed the 4x400 relay in 4:15.4

Rebecca Race dominated the 800 with a time of 2:28.4

In the 100 hurdles Alexa Eldacher had 17.2

Kristin Post threw the javelin 108-0

The long jump belonged to Alexa Eldacher with a distance of 16-7 3/4; and the triple jump: with 35-3.5

LeAnne Beedle took the 1600 with a time of 5:22.6

The shot put belonged to Kate Simon with 37-0, and she took the discus with 101-0

In the high jump Cynthia Greenberg ruled with a 4-4

And high flying Maddie Tremblay took the pole vault competition with 8-6.
