
Anthony Cuozzo Jr., a junior at Amity High School recently returned from Fort Benning Georgia where he competed in the USA Shooting National Championships.
It was Anthony’s first trip to the competition where he was award a Silver Medal in Class “D” in the 50 meter prone competition.
USA Shooting is the sanctioning body for the US Olympic Shooting team as well as other international competitions. Anthony also competed in the 50 meter three position event.

Many do not realize that Shooting is not only an Olympic sport, but an NCAA collegiate sport as well. Many Colleges and Universities have shooting programs for Smallbore, Air Rifle, Skeet and Trap.
Anthony has been competing since the age of twelve and currently competes with the Stratford P.A.L. Junior Rifle Club and is coached by Tony Panko and Alan Wilcoxson.
