Amity Region 5 Makes Decision On School Friday

BETHANY/ORANGE/WOODBRIDGE, CT — A powerful and quick moving winter storm dropped between 6 and 12 inches of snow on the area Thursday, which is leading to a second straight day off from school for students.

Amity Public Schools posted: "THE AMITY REGIONAL SCHOOLS WILL BE CLOSED ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 5, 2018. OFFICES WILL OPEN AT 9 AM."

Enjoy the long weekend and be safe as wind chills will be running as low as 20 below zero on Friday and early Saturday. More snow is possible on Monday.
