David Rimmer, a Pulitzer Prize finalist for his play “Album,” originally wrote “New York” to raise funds for volunteer psychiatrists helping the overwhelming number of patients psychologically affected by the events of 9/11. “New York” depicts the reactions of 15 individuals dealing with the devastating events of 9/11. New York’s “Resident” magazine said the show was “...brilliantly written... a thought-provoking event, avoiding the sentimental and capturing realistic portraits of how we’re all dealing with [9/11]... a touching exploration of the effects of September 11...”
