Amity Theater Students Host Estate Sale Pre-Sale Tonight
Students raising funds for a trip to Fringe Festival in Scotland. Invitation is a great honor.
The Amity High School Theater Department, under the direction of Robert Kennedy, was selected to perform in the largest and most prestigious arts festival in the world, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Each August, Edinburgh becomes the most magical and exciting place on earth as performing artists from all over the world come to Scotland to take part in the Festival.
Amity High School, long recognized for its entertaining and innovative productions, was selected to represent the United States as part of the 2012 American High School Theater Festival program. This year Amity was one of 50 schools chosen from more than 2,000 nominated.
The Amity High School drama students, their parents, and teachers are heavily involved in fundraising activities to finance the students’ two-week adventure in Scotland.

The first event, "The Anything and Everything Goes Estate Sale," is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 19.
The Estate Sale will kick off with a preview party pre-sale event on Friday, Nov. 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres. Admission is $15 per person or $25 per couple. The public sale on Saturday runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. admission is free. All proceeds go to this cause to make it so 15 kids can go to Scotland.
Businesses and residents are asked to consider donating goods or services for the silent auction. Any and all contributions are welcome. Goods can be picked up!

A Herman Miller, George Nelson-designed modular sectional sofa from the mid-1950’s that is in mint condition (valued at thousands of dollars)
Many vintage sewing machines (one from 1921 with the original instructional booklet)
A Victrola complete with many needles
A very nice bed/storage system with drawers, etc.
Coffee tables, dining room sets, lamps and vases.
Desks, trunks, electronics, clothes, toys, sporting equipment, bikes, train set
Silent auction with four Jets tickets including parking and so much more.
