ORANGE, CT — An e-bike burst into flames in an Orange home Monday night, according to fire officials.
Firefighters responded to the call at 9:23 p.m., reporting a fire in the attached garage of a Garden Road home.
Firefighters arrived and found a resident had removed the e-bike from the garage while it was still on fire.
"While this action probably saved damage to the garage, there is a risk of getting seriously injured by the fire or the unstable, burning lithium batteries," fire officials said.
No injuries were reported.
The Orange Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
