Obituary Elsie Pigaty, 96

Elsie Pigaty, 96, of Derby, peacefully entered into eternal rest on January 12, 2012, at the Orange Health Care Center.

She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Antonio Pigaty.

Mrs. Pigaty was born in Cromwell, CT on September 14, 1915, daughter of the late Giacomo and Margaret Zanello Cerrano. Elsie, a resident of Derby for most of her life, was a very caring and gentle soul, who spent her life taking care of her loving family.

She is survived by a son, Charles P. Pigaty and his wife Addie of Orange, a daughter, Shirley H. Pigaty of Derby, a sister, Flora Fox of Hamden, a grandson, Charles E. Pigaty of Orange, a granddaughter, Jennifer M. Pigaty of Milford, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Allen Pigaty, a brother, Hugo Cerrano, and sisters, Albina Pizzi, Mary O'Donnell, and Ida Scalo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Monday, January 16, 2012, at 10:00 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.

A visiting hour will be held on MONDAY from 9:00 am until the service begins.
