
John C. Arnone of Orange, CT passed away peacefully at Hospice on Thursday, December 8, 2011, two days before his 84th birthday.
Born in New Haven December 10, 1927 a son of the late John and Christina Affinito Arnone, John was much loved by his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Nina DeFrancesco Arnone, sons John A. (Elaine) and Michael; his grandchildren Kyle, Kevin, Jennifer, Lisa and Brian; his brother Joe and sister Nancy Foss of Arizona; his former daughter-in-law Angela and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother Frank and sisters Vera, Madeline and Sandra.
John was an army veteran serving with the 224th Infantry during the Korean War.

He then worked at Wilson H. Lee Printing Co. and New England Printing Co. In 1979 he and his son Michael opened a Carvel Ice Cream store on Elm St. in West Haven. He retired from the business in 1993.
John and Nina enjoyed going every winter to their home in Ft. Myers, FL.
His funeral will leave the IOVANNE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 11 Wooster Pl., Monday morning at 9 for a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 10. Burial with military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be Sunday from 3-6pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Fr. McGivney Center, 1450 Chapel St. New Haven, CT 06510.
