Obituary Joseph E. Stanio, 88

Joseph E. Stanio, age 88, of Orange, beloved husband of Florence Logioco Stanio, passed away on Friday December 9, 2011 at his home.

Born on June 12, 1923 in New Haven, he was the son of the late Louis and Mary Choppa Stanio. Joseph served with pride and honor in the US Army Air Corps during WWII.

Prior to his retirement Joe was an electrician and the owner of All Electric Company of New Haven. He was the past president of the New Haven Electrical Contractor Association. Joe loved to play guitar, banjo and the organ.

In his younger days Joe played locally with his band, "The Joey Edwards Band."

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife Florence of 65 years, he is survived by four children. Lewis Stanio of Seymour, Mary Ann Skidmore of Farmingville, LI, Thomas Stanio of Orange and Joseph Stanio Jr. of North Branford.

Joseph is also survived by eight grandchildren; Michael, Danielle, Stephanie, Tori, Joseph, Jason, Christopher and Stephen. He was predeceased by his siblings Emma, Theresa and Fred.

A Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday December 14th at 11:00 a.m. in the Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad Street Milford.

Burial to follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
