Obituary Vincent A. Afasano

Vincent A. Afasano, 94, of Orange beloved husband of Elizabeth Marino Afasano passed away peacefully at his home January 11, 2012.

Son of the late Catello and Carmella Pappalardo Afasano. Father of Vincent (Pamela) Afasano of Cromwell, Raymond (Deborah) Afasano of St. Petersburg, FL, Joann Tarantino of Jupiter, FL, Charlene Caporale of East Haven, Kathryn Young of Webster, FL and Lydia Afasano of Wildwood, FL. Stepfather of Connie (Neil) Riggione of Orange and Lawrence (Marianne) Amato of New Rochelle, NY. Brother of Nina (Thomas) Nassisi of Valley Cottage, NY and the late Mary Guidice and Frank Afasano. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and a great granddaughter.

Prior to his retirement Vincent was Vice President of the Colonial Bank in East Haven, President of the East Haven Exchange Club and the East Haven Chamber of Commerce and a member of the St. Catello Society of New Haven.

He was a WWII Army veteran.

The Afasano Family would like to thank CT Hospice for all their love and care.

His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven Monday morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Infant Church at 11:00. Interment with military honors will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
