Blasting Operation Starts For Residential Project In Orange
A blasting permit was obtained for the removal of rock for the foundation of a new single-family home.
ORANGE, CT — Blasting to remove rock for the foundation of a new home will be occurring in Orange over the next three days. The blasting permit is for 415 Northwood Drive.
The Town of Orange Fire Marshal's Office posted the following Monday morning on Facebook:
J&J Blasting visited our office this morning to obtain a blasting permit for 415 Northwood Drive. The purpose for the blasting operation is for the removal of rock for the foundation of a new single-family home.

All pre-blast surveys on buildings within 200 feet were completed as required, and the permit has been issued. Seismic monitoring will be in place in all directions.
They anticipate blasting during daytime hours over the next 3 days. We will have one of our staff on site during the blasting.
