16-Carat Diamond and Platinum Stunner Seals the Deal for Hollywood Royalty Pitt and Jolie
Hollywood A-Listers Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have finally made it official after seven high-profile years together. Pitt proposed to Jolie with a stunning 16-carat diamond engagement ring that he designed with the assistance of his long-time friend and Beverly Hills jeweler, Robert Procop.
Jewelry expert Michael O’Connor told US Weekly that Jolie’s platinum engagement ring boasts a 7-carat emerald-cut center diamond accented with an additional 9 carats of tapered emerald-cut diamonds encircling the platinum band. The estimated value of the ring is $500,000.
“Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realized over a year-long collaboration,” Procop told The Hollywood Reporter. “He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so I was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suit Angelina’s hand. Brad was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution. The side diamonds are specially cut to encircle her finger. Each diamond is of the highest gem quality.”
