Burglars Cut Hole In Target's Roof In Elaborate Theft: Orange PD
Police are asking one with any information on the early morning burglary to contact them.

ORANGE, CT — Orange police detail an elaborate burglary that occurred at Target this morning, which has resulted in one arrest as this time. The suspects used a ladder and cut a hole in the roof in order to gain access to the building an ATM.
At 1:39 a.m. Orange Police responded to the report of a burglary in progress at Target, 25 Boston Post Road. Orange police officers, with the assistance of West Haven police officers, set up a perimeter around the business and apprehended Shkodran Jahiu, 20, from Bronx, NY, police said in a news release
"An extensive search of the business and surrounding area for the additional suspect was negative. Further investigation revealed that the suspects had used a ladder to access the roof of the building where they cut a hole in the roof," police said in a news release. "The suspects then forced their way through the sheet rock ceiling of the business and attempted to gain entry into an ATM machine by using a sledge hammer and pry bar."

Jahiu was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree conspiracy to commit burglary, first-degree criminal attempt to commit larceny, first-degree criminal mischief, and possession of burglary tools.
Jahiu is being held on a $500,000 bond pending arraignment. The investigation remains open and anyone with information is asked to call Detective Sean Murphy of the Investigative Services Unit at 203-891-2138.

ORANGE, CT — One person is in custody for a burglary reported at Target early this morning, Orange Police say.
The Orange Police Department received a complaint at 1:39 am of a burglary in progress at 25 Boston Post Road. One suspect was apprehended at the scene, police said. The investigation is still active and no further information was immediately released. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call Sergeant Michael Kosh of the Investigative Services Unit at 203-891-2138.
