“Kumbhabhishekam” is a special ceremony performed to renew and rededicate a Hindu temple, reaffirming its sacredness and spiritual energy. Through prayers, rituals, and the blessing of holy water, the temple and its deities are ceremonially reconsecrated for the benefit of devotees.
Traditionally held every 12 years, Kumbhabhishekam marks an important milestone in a temple's life. As Chinmaya Saraswati Ashram & Devi Temple in Orange, CT celebrates its 12th anniversary since its consecration in 2014, this sacred ceremony in July 2026 will be performed to renew the temple for the continued worship and spiritual upliftment of the community.
