Milford Community Thanksgiving Worship Service: “A Place at the Table”
Milford’s Annual Community Thanksgiving Worship Service will take place on Tuesday, November 24, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary of First United Church of Christ, 34 West Main Street, Milford. Sponsored by the Milford Clergy Association, the service will bring together local clergy, faith communities, and neighbors for an evening of gratitude, music, and service. All are welcome.
This year’s theme, “A Place at the Table,” celebrates hospitality, generosity, and making room for everyone in our community. Jen Paradis, Executive Director of Beth-El Center, will share the message.
The evening will feature a community choir led by music minister Yeheun Kwon, a community youth musicians ensemble, and Soundwaves, an a cappella group of local young adults. Those interested in singing with the community choir are invited to arrive at 6:00 p.m. for rehearsal.
Children are welcome and will participate in a tie-blanket service project, along with a special children's message during worship.
The evening's offering will support the No Freeze Shelter as it prepares for the cold winter months. Community members are invited to bring items from a shelter needs list that will be shared in advance. A volunteer training session will take place at 5:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall for those interested in serving with the shelter. Contact: kbecker@bethelmilford.org for training opportunities.
A reception will follow worship in Fellowship Hall. Those wishing to contribute a treat to share may drop it off in the church kitchen before the service.
