Orange Land Trust Sponsors The World of Owls

The Orange Land Trust is sponsoring a program on The World of Owls at their Annual Meeting being held Wednesday, April 27, in the cafeteria at High Plains Community Center at 7 p.m.

Julie Collier of Wingmasters will be showing how owls use their specialized powers of sight, hearing, and flight to survive and thrive. A wealth of fact and folklore about these masters of the dark explains the natural and unnatural history of owls. A variety of live owls provide the focus of the presentation.

Collier is not only a gifted handler of birds and speaker, she is also proficient at drawing these wonderful creatures. The OLT will have on sale t-shirts featuring one of Collier’s drawings. Collier will also have note cards and drawings available.

All are welcome to this free program. It will be preceded by a brief business meeting of the OLT. High Plains Community Center is located at 525 Orange Center Road in Orange. If you have any questions, call Judy at 203- 799-6321
