Massaro Community Farm invites everyone to a lecture by Georgia Chavent, MS, RD, CSSD, director of the Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of New Haven, on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 7:30 p.m. at Amity High School.
Chavent will discuss the importance of food sources and supporting locally-grown food. The lecture is free; contributions to the Massaro Farm are welcome.

The Massaro Community Farm is a non-profit organization dedicated to farmland preservation, feeding the hungry with organically-grown food, and educating the community about sustainable agriculture and nutrition.
Last summer the farm donated almost two tons of food to Columbus House, Birmingham Services and Woodbridge Human Services.
