Father and Son Accused of 7 Orange Residential Burglaries: Police
Orange police say jewelry, watches and other items were stolen.
ORANGE, CT - A father and son are accused of committing seven residential burglaries in Orange, police said.
Police said the burglaries all occurred in February and March of this year.
“Officers got a break in the case when the people listed above ( John Connelly, 69, of Edgewood Ave, New Haven and Michael Connelly, 23, of the same address) were arrested after a motor vehicle stop on March 4 and found them in possession of a variety of narcotics with intent to sell. The younger Connelly was also found to have six warrants out for his arrest on that day,” police said in a news release.

Information obtained from that incident led to the issuance of arrest warrants to a father-son combination for seven different residential burglaries in Orange, police said.
The two arrestees are accused of breaking into homes on Karen Drive, North Greenbrier Drive, Hemlock Hill Road, Garden Road, Turkey Hill Road, and Hilltop Road, police said.

Small but expensive items such as jewelry and watches were often taken so the arrestees could turn them into cash, police said.
They each were charged with numerous burglary and larceny charges.
