FREE Financial Workshops in April Presented by Connex Credit Union
Learn About "Social Security" and "Car Buying Tips" FOR FREE with Connex Credit Union's Financial Workshop Series

Connex Credit Union, one of Connecticut’s largest credit unions, hosts a series of free financial education workshops throughout the year as part of its ConnexCares initiative. The workshops are taught by industry professionals and are filled with information designed to help educate consumers on financial topics and how to set and achieve financial goals. These series will be continuing in April with two more workshops.
The first workshop is entitled “Social Security and Your Retirement,” and will be presented by Connex Investment and Retirement Services Representative Pat Piccirilli with help from Shawn Harriet, regional vice president of Jackson National Life Distributors LLC. This free no-obligation workshop will discuss which routes you can take to maximize your benefits from Social Security. Attendees are encouraged to come prepared with any questions they may have regarding Social Security or its advantages. This workshop will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, at Eli’s on Whitney located at 2392 Whitney Avenue in Hamden.
The second workshop, “Car Buying Tips” will be hosted by Connex Credit Union’s Assistant Vice President of Indirect Lending Mike Taylor. This informative workshop will ensure you are prepared to tackle the often daunting task of purchasing a car. It will cover topics such as choosing the right vehicle, leasing versus purchasing, evaluating payment options and how Connex Credit Union’s loan department can assist you. This free no-obligation workshop will occur Thursday, April 14, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Connex’s North Haven Branch located at 412 Washington Avenue. There will also be a simultaneous webinar available for those who are unable to attend in person. (You will be able to select your preference during registration)
