· Adam Gorb has described his Yiddish Dances as “very much a party piece.” Comprised of five movements that are all based on Klezmer music – the traditional music of Jews from Eastern Europe – each dance is harmonically rich and full of metrical asymmetries.

· Percy Aldridge Grainger’s Molly on the Shore is based on two Irish folk dances: “Temple Hill” and “Molly on the Shore.” This boisterous piece is known for its tireless energy and rhythmic intensity.

· George Cohan’s You’re a Grand Old Flag, Samuel Barber’s Commando March, and Edwin Goldman’s Third Alarm March are three American marches for band that are filled with patriotic spirit and excitement.
