Goodwives Return: Candlemaking was "Best Day Ever"
A multi-week program, funded by the Jamie Hulley Arts Foundation continued at Turkey Hill School with candle dipping in the classroom.
Three volunteers from the Orange Historical Society taught second-graders how to dip candles in the second installment of a hands-on history series funded by the Jamie Hulley Arts Foundation.
The children said they really enjoyed this chapter of early American life and were excited to be able to bring their candles home after school.
"This is the best day ever," declared one little girl as she went to dip her wick into the hot wax.
