2011 Amity High School College Fair

Amity High School's annual College Fair will take place in the high school gymnasium, Wednesday, March 16, at 7 p.m.

All interested students and families are welcome. This event is open to the community and free of charge.

This evening provides students and families an opportunity to meet with admissions representatives from over 125 colleges and learn more about the schools.

March Madness

Members of the Amity staff will be playing the fourth annual Geno’s Cancer Team fundraiser basketball game in the main gym, Thursday, March 17 at 3 p.m.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased outside the lunch room or at the door. 100% of the money raised will go directly to cancer research.

Come enjoy the game, cheer on your favorite staff members and support an important cause.

 

Debate Team

On Saturday, March 5, the Amity Debate Team traveled to Darien High School for a Connecticut Debate Association league tournament. After a bit of a drought, Amity returned to its winning ways.

In the varsity division, an Amity team won the tournament by defeating a second Amity team in the finals. The regular season is now over.

Amity qualified 5 varsity and 12 novice debaters for the state tournament. The state tournament will be held on Saturday, March 26 at Wilton High School.

 

Shakespeare Competition

Sixteen talented students from ten schools across Connecticut participated in a Shakespeare speaking competition at Greenwich High School on Tuesday, March 8.

An Amity High School student won the competition, and a second Amity student received an honorable mention.
