Homeowner, Firefighter Injured In 2-Alarm Fire In Orange: Report
The fire was reported early Wednesday at a home on Chestnut Ridge Road in Orange.
ORANGE, CT — A homeowner was hospitalized for treatment of smoke inhalation early Wednesday after a fire ripped through his Chestnut Ridge Road in Orange, News 12 Connecticut reports.
An Orange Volunteer Firefighter also suffered an injury while battling the fire, which occurred at about 3:40 a.m. That injury occurred due to slippery surface conditions due to the overnight freeze, according to the station.
The homeowner was able to get out of the home before firefighters arrived. The cause of the fire, which destroyed the home, is under investigation.
