ID Released Of Teen Critically Injured In Motor Vehicle Accident: Orange Police

BREAKING: Police have released the identities of two of the teens involved in the serious accident, which injured three people.

ORANGE, CT — Police said a Milford teenage, Kristen Poulin, 18, was critically injured in a motor vehicle accident and two other Orange teens were also injured. Police on Thursday released the identities of two of the teens involved in the accident.

On Tuesday, June 20 at 11:42 p.m. Orange police responded to a serious motor vehicle accident on Dogburn Road, just south of the Woodbridge town line, police said.

The driver has been identified as a juvenile (17 years-old) from Orange, who cannot be named due to statutory age restrictions, police said. Passengers in this accident have been identified as Gia Mentillo, 18, of Orange, and Poulin, 18, of Milford, police said. Poulin was critically injured as a result of this accident, police said.

Police have said the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll over and hit a tree. When officers arrived, they found a silver 2007 Mazda 6 off the roadway and three injured occupants nearby, police said.

The preliminary investigation shows that the car was traveling southbound on Dogburn Road when the driver lost control while cornering, causing the vehicle to skid off the roadway and roll over, coming to rest against a tree, police said. Poulin was ejected from the vehicle, police said.
