Inaugural Eli’s Mustache Dash Expects 300 Participants!

The inaugural Eli's Mustache Dash 5K expects over 300 runners! The event takes place this Sunday, November 6 at Eli's Orange.

Orange, CT: The inaugural Eli’s Mustache Dash 5K expects over 300 runners! The event takes place this Sunday, November 6 at Eli’s Orange. The 5K course features rolling hills through suburban neighborhoods of Orange. Race organizers expect a crowd of over 500 participants for the first annual event. Participants are encouraged to wear mustaches during the race in support of the New England Men’s Health Initiative.

Participants and spectators are invited to the post-race party hosted at Eli’s Orange offering beer, hotdogs, entertainment, giveaways and more. Participants receive commemorative pint glasses and fake mustaches to wear at the event. Awards are given to the top 3 male and female age group finishers and the best real & artificial mustaches!

Ellis Reilly of Eli’s Orange states, “We are excited to host an event that supports the New England Men’s Health Initiative as well as our local high school cross country teams. We look forward to becoming further entrenched in this great community with an annual race that raises cancer awareness and garners local support.”

Eli’s Mustache Dash benefits the New England Men’s Health Initiative to encourage men’s health and raise awareness of prostate cancer, testicular cancer and the importance of early screenings. Dr. Jeffrey Rabuffo, founder of the NEMHI states, “We are dedicated to providing education and advocacy for healthy lifestyle choices and the application of treatment and cures for chronic diseases for every man in our region. We depend on donations for our success. Be part of the Ten for Men team and contribute $10 or more to our organization. Donations will also be made to the girls & boys cross country teams at Amity Regional High School.
