Man, 69, Repeatedly Tried To Start Fight At Orange Ale House: Police

Police say the bar's patrons weren't interested in fighting and the accused then pushed a person but no one fought back.

ORANGE, CT — A 69-year-old Stratford man is accused of trying to start a fight with patrons of the Orange Ale House, police said. Police said they responded to the Orange Ale House on July 19 just before midnight in regarding a disturbance.

Officers learned that David Pichard, 69, of Stratford, had been trying to engage in a fight with a group of patrons from the bar, police said. When all of the parties declined to fight him, he pushed one of them while still trying to instigate the fight, police said.

He was taken into custody and is charged with second-degree breach of peace and is due to appear in court on August 2.
