Man Assaulted In Unprovoked Attack, Orange PD Search For Suspects

A man was walking and was attacked by three suspects, police say. A video was released.

ORANGE, CT — The Orange Police Department is asking the public for assistance in helping to solve an assault. On May 11 at 11:35 a.m., there was an assault on Executive Boulevard, police said. A man who works at a nearby business was walking on his lunch break when a vehicle approached and three people got out, police said.

One of those people ran up to the victim and struck him from behind, knocking him to the ground, police said. The other two people watched the assault, police said. Once the victim was able to get back to his feet and defend himself, the three perpetrators ran back to the waiting car and fled the area, police said.

The person who committed the assault is described as a black male between the age of 17-21 wearing a red shirt, police said. The two bystanders are also described as black males between 17-21 years old, police said. One of them was wearing a white shirt and a blue cap.

They left the area in a tan or beige Volvo station wagon, likely an older model, police said. There were at least two other people in the waiting vehicle.

"The assault was unprovoked, and the victim has no connection to the perpetrators," police said.
