Man Charged After Physical Altercation: Orange Police

The accused was initially held in lieu of bond.

ORANGE, CT — A Milford man is accused of getting into a physical altercation with a woman resulting in a charge of third-degree strangulation, Orange Police said.

Police said on April 18, officers responded to a private residence on Mulberry Lane in regard to a disturbance. Officers learned that Colton Canelli, 22 of Milford had gotten into an argument with two female residents, and the argument turned physical at one point, police said.

Canelli left the scene prior to officers’ arrival, but turned himself into police headquarters shortly thereafter, where he was taken into custody and charged with third-degree strangulation and disorderly conduct, police say.

He was initially held in lieu of a $1,000 bond.
