Man Charged With Assault After Injuring Victim In Fight: Orange Police

ORANGE, CT — A Branford man is accused of assaulting and injuring another man during a fight in the street in Orange, police said. On Sept. 17, officers responded to 693 Wheelers Farms Road for a report of two males fighting in the street, police said.

Officer's investigation revealed that Michael N. Russo, 49, of Branford, struck the other male, breaking his eye glasses and leaving minor injuries to his nose, police said. Russo was taken into custody and charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

He posted a $1,000 bond and was given a court date of Oct. 2.
