Man Charged With DUI In Orange: Police
The accused allegedly ran a red light and was stopped by a police officer.

ORANGE, CT — A Shelton man is accused of driving while under the influence of alcohol while in Orange, police said. On Oct. 7, officers conducting a traffic detail near 500 Boston Post Road saw Arthur J. Beard, 24, of Shelton, passing a red light and driving out of his lane, police said.
A motor vehicle stop was initiated. Officers detected a strong odor of an unknown alcoholic beverage, police said. Beard was asked to perform Standardized Sobriety Field Tests. Subsequently, he was taken into custody and charged with DUI.
