The accused sent multiple threats of physical harm to a former family member via phone/text, police said

ORANGE, CT — A New Haven man is accused of sending harassing messages to a former family member, Orange Police say. Officers served a warrant on a Department Of Corrections inmate who was in Derby Superior court on April 18.

The warrant stemmed from an incident in 2017 when James Hall, 34, of New Haven, sent multiple threats of physical harm to a former family member via phone/text, police said. An investigation led to the issuance of a warrant which was served, police said.

Hall is charged with first-degree harassment.
