Man Charged With Inappropriately Touching Child At Orange Grocery Store: Police

Orange police said officers arrested a West Haven man on charges of inappropriately touching a child at a grocery store.

ORANGE, CT - Orange police said officers arrested a West Haven man on charges of inappropriately touching a child. The incident occurred Thursday at the Shop Rite grocery store on Bull Hill Lane, according to a release.

Police said Michael A. Cifarelli, 84, of West Haven is charged with inappropriately touching a child while the parent and child were standing in line at a register. The juvenile's mother then immediately reported the incident to store officials and contacted officers, police said. Police said the suspect was arrested on charges of rick of injury to a minor and breach of peace. He was placed on a $75,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court Friday, police said.
