Man in PJs Tries to Choke Orange Cop, Pees on Holding Cell Floor
Police say the man first got into a fight with a motorist while wearing his pajamas.

A man dressed in pajamas is accused of getting into a fight with a motorist and then attempted to put an Orange police officer in a chokehold and urinated in the holding cell, police said Tuesday.
Officers responded to Derby Avenue or (Route 34) for a reported disturbance that began inside a vehicle traveling on that roadway Monday afternoon.
Officers found Harry Peters, 53, of Crescent Street in Derby, standing in the roadway wearing pajamas, and learned that he had been the passenger in a vehicle when he got into a physical altercation with the driver, police said.

At one point, both parties wound up outside the vehicle, but Peters was left at the side of the road when the other party drove off, police said.
Officers took him into custody and brought him to police headquarters for processing. During the booking process, the arrestee attempted to choke one of the officers, and later urinated on the floor of the cell area, police said.

Peters was charged with second-degree breach of peace, assault on a peace officer, interfering with an officer, and third-degree criminal mischief.
He was held on $50,000 bond.
