Man Sleeping Inside Car At Traffic Light Charged: Orange Police

Police said the accused slept through several traffic light cycles.

ORANGE, CT — An Ansonia man was arrested after he was found sleeping inside his car while stopped at a traffic light, Orange Police say. On Dec. 2, officers responded to Grassy Hill Road at the intersection of Derby Avenue for a report of a person stopped at a traffic light through numerous light cycles, police said.

Upon arrival, officers found Cristian Valencia, 38, of Ansonia, and he was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests, police said. He was taken into custody and charged with DUI.

He posted a $50 bond.
