Man Stole $5K Worth Of Jewels: Orange Police

Police say more arrests are expected.

ORANGE, CT — A New Haven man is accused of stealing thousands of dollars of jewels from a home in Orange, police said. Police served a warrant while Michael Baldino, 20, of New Haven was scheduled to be at court on an unrelated matter, police said.

The warrant stemmed from a burglary to a residence on Orange Center Road in July 2017, where approximately $5,000 worth of jewelry and other items were taken, police said. Other arrests have been made on this case and more are expected, police said.

Baldino is charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit both burglary and larceny. He was arraigned at court.
