Man Stole Items From Business, Then Sold Them: Orange Police
Police say the accused was found selling items he had just stolen from the business.

ORANGE, CT — A New Haven man is accused of stealing items from a business in Orange and then trying to sell the items, police said. On August 10, officers responded to 401 Boston Post Road, Ocean State Job Lot, for a report of a male, Robert Hallett, 47, of New Haven trying to sell stolen items that he had just taken from Ocean State Job Lot, police said.
Upon arrival, officers observed Hallett hiding behind a vehicle in the parking lot, police said. He had five bed comforters in his possession, police said. Further investigation revealed that Hallett had taken the items without paying for them, police said.
He was taken into custody and charged with sixth-degree larceny.
