Man Stole Nearly $400 Worth of Cosmetics: Orange Police

The man was found near the store, police said.

ORANGE, CT — A Cheshire man is accused of stealing nearly $400 worth of cosmetics from a business in Orange, police said. Officers responded to the Walgreens store, 54 Boston Post Road, in regard to a shoplifting complaint on March 23, police said.

Officers learned that Sidney J. Wylie, 59, of Cheshire, took $398 worth of cosmetics from the store without paying, police said. Officers located the arrestee a short distance away and took him into custody, police said. The merchandise was returned to Walgreens, police said.

He is charged with sixth-degree larceny, criminal trespass and interfering with an officer.
