Police say the man bought the knife and groceries and returned to the store wanting to fight an employee.

ORANGE, CT — A New Haven man is accused of threatening employees at an Orange business with a knife last week, police said. Police say officers responded to Restaurant Depot regarding a customer threatening employees with a knife.

Officers learned that Lenny Perdomo, 24, of New Haven had purchased groceries and a cooking knife at the store, police said. After leaving with the groceries, he returned to the store and approached an employee asking him to come outside to fight, police said.

A different employee saw that Perdomo had the knife in his possession and contacted police, police said. He was disarmed and taken into custody without incident, police said. Officers seized a 10-inch kitchen knife as part of the investigation, police said.
