Man Tries To Fraudulently Cash $14,000 Worth Of Checks: Orange PD
The accused is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

ORANGE, CT — A New Jersey man is accused of trying to pass fraudulent checks in excess of $14,000, Orange Police say. On Dec. 12, officers responded to Citizens Bank, 222 Boston Post Road in reference to an individual attempting to pass fraudulent checks, police said.
Officers’ investigation revealed that Jorge Ramon Fernandez-Delvall, 49, of Guttenberg, NJ attempted to cash a fraudulent check for $6,200 and on his person officers also found an additional fraudulent check in the amount of $8,400, police said.
He also attempted to flee from officers but was unsuccessful, police said. Subsequently, he was taken into custody and charged with third-degree larceny, third-degree forgery, first-degree forgery and interfering with an officer. He was held in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
