The accused is being held on a $25,000 bond.

ORANGE, CT — A Bronx, NY man, Peter V. Morgan, 28, is being held in lieu of a $25,000 bond after being arrested at a local bank, Orange Police said. Officers responded to the Citizen’s Bank branch on the Boston Post Road in regard to a fraud complaint, police said.

Officers learned that Morgan was trying to withdraw money from an account that was not his, police said. He was using fraudulent identification in the name of the account holder to do so, police said. Once bank employees tried to confirm some of the account information, the arrestee fled the bank, police said. Officers found him a short distance away, where he was taken into custody and charged with second-degree forgery, identity theft, criminal impersonation, interfering with an officer, and attempted third-degree larceny.
